Knowing your readiness for therapy and searching for the right fit can feel so daunting which is why I approach therapy in a collaborative way, emphasizing compassion, curiosity, and safety in my work with clients. I believe that people need to feel witnessed and validated in the whole of their identities and experiences. In my practice, I work to understand your lived experiences and trauma, what systems you are impacted by and your identities. In doing so, my goal is to help cultivate a safe and trusted space for emotional exploration, compassionate accountability, learning healthy boundary setting, healing from trauma, understanding interpersonal dynamics and attachment, creating new patterns, personal identity exploration, increasing self-compassion and building new skills for emotional regulation and awareness.
I use elements of Internal Family Systems, nervous system awareness, and Person-Centered Therapy. I believe that therapy can be a healing catalyst for change that can have significant positive impacts on your life, relationships, and the communities you are a part of.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate that graduated from Portland State University in 2021 with a Master’s in Counseling and a background in development and education. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is dependent on building safety and trust, which means approaching my work with clients at a pace that they feel comfortable with.
