I am trained to work with a diversity of children, youth, and adults through various constructs of relationship including marriage, open and closed partnerships, and a wide range of family compositions. As a graduate of Portland State University, College of Counselor Education, in the Marriage, Couples, and Family Therapy (MCFC) focus track, and as a parent, a step-parent, and an adoptive parent, my education and experience focus on child centered play therapy, Child Parent Relationship Therapy, child development, identity development, attachment theory, emotion-focused therapy, and somatic and narrative techniques. I have also received additional training in working with queer, trans, BIPOC, and immigrant populations. Throughout my long life, I’ve been supporting children, leading movement practices, managing non-profits, and collaborating with adults in many different kinds of groups, and this has prepared me to work with a diverse population. I approach my therapy practice with an inclusive, thoughtful response that has a real impact on individuals and families.
