Professional Counselor Associate

I believe that a trusting and warm relationship between a therapist and client is the cornerstone of effective therapy. Using a person-centered approach, I work alongside children, teens, and adults to help them harness their strengths and inherent self-knowledge, fostering growth and discovery. Through play, expressive arts, and talk therapy, I guide clients in exploring their inner selves, uncovering their needs, and seeking areas they may not yet have discovered.

I have a Masters degree in counseling, school counseling track, from Portland State University. My experience includes working with children and teens in various settings, including several years as a high school art teacher and as an elementary school counselor. These school-based experiences, coupled with my role as a parent to three neurodiverse children, deepen my understanding of the unique ways all individuals interact with the world. I am passionate about helping all individuals and their families navigate a world that may not always align with their needs and learn to understand themselves and each other more deeply.

When I am not at work I enjoy spending time with my family, including my two goofy golden retrievers and cats, creating art, cooking, and enjoying time outdoors.
