Eileen believes that a trusting and warm relationship between a therapist and client is the cornerstone of effective therapy. Using a person-centered approach, she works alongside children, teens, and adults to help them harness their strengths and inherent self-knowledge, fostering growth and discovery. Through play, expressive arts, and talk therapy, Eileen guides clients in exploring their inner selves, uncovering their needs, and seeking areas they may not yet have discovered.
Eileen has a Masters degree in counseling, school counseling track, from Portland State University. Her experience includes working with children and teens in various settings, including several years as a high school art teacher and as an elementary school counselor. These school-based experiences, coupled with her role as a parent to three neurodiverse children, deepen her understanding of the unique ways all individuals interact with the world. She is passionate about helping all individuals and their families navigate a world that may not always align with their needs and learn to understand themselves and each other more deeply.
When she is not at work, Eileen enjoys spending time with her family, including her two goofy golden retrievers and cats, creating art, cooking, and enjoying time outdoors.
