Jake views therapy as a supportive container where clients can explore themselves and try out new ways of thinking, feeling, and acting at a pace that feels right to them. Philosophically Jake is aligned with approaches that honor the wisdom of the body and the power of relationships, including person-centered counseling, Gestalt, existential humanism, somatic and mindfulness-based approaches, inner parts work, play therapy, drama therapy, and systemic lenses.

With a passion for theater, improvisation, music, and group facilitation, Jake seeks to create a space where clients feel empowered to express themselves and connect through interactive forms of creativity.

Jake holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Colorado College, a Master’s Degree in Social and Developmental Psychology from Cambridge University, and a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Portland State University. Jake is also pursuing training in drama therapy theories and interventions.

Jake’s hobbies include bike commuting, singing, and volunteering with local nonprofit Kindness Farm.
