Jake views therapy as a supportive container where clients can explore themselves and try out new ways of thinking, feeling, and acting at a pace that feels right to them. Philosophically Jake is aligned with approaches that honor the wisdom of the body and the power of relationships, including person-centered counseling, Gestalt, existential humanism, somatic and mindfulness-based approaches, inner parts work, and systemic lenses.

With a passion for theater, improvisation, music, and group facilitation, Jake seeks to create a space where clients feel empowered to express themselves and connect through interactive forms of creativity.

Jake holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Colorado College and a Master’s degree in Social and Developmental Psychology from Cambridge University. Currently Jake is working towards his Master’s degree in Counseling from Portland State University, with a focus on relationship and family counseling.

Jake’s hobbies include bike commuting, singing in choir and song circles, and volunteering with local nonprofit Kindness Farm.
