KC (they/she) is a student intern providing counseling for children, teens, parents, and adults across the lifespan. KC views therapy as a collaborative process where new ways of thinking and interacting can be practiced with safety and bravery. They are a strong proponent of the healing power of relationships and seek to create an environment that is warm, curious, nonjudgmental, and empathetic. With a background in environmental education and recreation, KC values play and exploration as a means for introspection, healing, connection, and joy. Their approach is rooted in somatic, attachment-based, emotionally-focused, and person-centered theories. KC is a trauma-informed practitioner who understands that we are each uniquely impacted by the systems and conditions we live in; they believe that you are the expert in your life, full of innate wisdom, and capable of growth. They have a passion for working with gender-diverse and neurodiverse individuals as well as all kinds of family constellations and relationship styles.

KC holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and French from the University of Oregon and is currently pursuing a Master’s of marriage, couples, and family counseling at Portland State University. Their professional background includes experience in environmental education, youth recreation, childcare, relational organizing, and community mental health. In their free time, you can find KC crafting, mending, playing video games, or frolicking around town.
