Megan (she/they) engages the whole client in the process of counseling. She believes that the mind, body, “heart,” and external systems (such as societal impact and disposition) can be engaged in the therapy experience to optimize the outcomes. Megan approaches the therapeutic journey by centralizing the client relationship and also acknowledging the role played by other past and present relationships in the client’s life. Whether one is seeking counseling for themself, their child, or a relationship, Megan will build a space for the client to achieve the state most aligned with their values, culture, and vision for the future. She takes a neurodivergent-affirming approach in her practice, and has additional training and experience in the areas of Autism Spectrum Disorder and Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

Megan has been working from a relational lens first as a pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist (2004-2024), and now as a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and Professional Counselor Associate, with specialized training in infant-toddler mental health, grief and loss, and relationship dynamics with a focus on LGBTQIA2S+ individuals and ENM relationships. Megan earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling from Portland State University, and recently earned a certificate in Infant Toddler Mental Health.

Megan has a rich life outside of work time, where she explores the many food options in the Portland area, sings karaoke, and fosters relationships with her partner, child, and dogs.
